Hi everyone. Hope you all have a great new year . I have enjoyed visiting the different builds happening this year. Lots of unique cars and trucks in the works.
I have a quick question for you all….
I have my car loaded on a 4 post lift at ride height. I finally got my driveline angles in the green after noticing that things looked off. It was warm this last week so I shored this all up. After shimming my trans a half an inch everything worked out. I have a solid axle and 3 link set up on my coupe. As I adjusted my rear end using the upper link to get it into spec it moved the yoke deeper into the trans. My question is if this driveshaft length is acceptable? It is the new tkx. It is 5/8” inch clearance as evident in the photos. Basically the driveshaft is just touching the rubber boot.

Since most old transmissions do not have this rubber boot and the seal is at the actual tailshaft of the trans I think I am ok. I might be able to gain more space by messing with my pinion angle a bit more, but it took me the better part of a day to get all the angles happy. All the posts I have read about driveshaft length lead me to believe this is good, but it never hurts to check.
Now I just need to make my front license plate bracket for registration this spring.
Adios gents.
