I'm wrapping up the last few items before the body goes on the car. One of the things I need to do is install the foam weatherstrip on the outsides of the footboxes, as Jeff K. describes in this post (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?10438-Prepping-for-Final-Body-Install-Have-Question-About-Footbox-Foam&p=103194&viewfull=1#post103194). He used 3M Super 77 to glue the foam, but I can only find that locally in an aerosol spray (not sure if it's even made in any other form factor.). I'd rather use a brush-on adhesive, as I'm not crazy about getting aerosolized glue all over everything at this point. What's the best adhesive to use for this (that I can find locally at an Ace or Home Depot). Will Dap Weldwood contact cement work?
Edit: Has anyone tried spraying 3M Super 77 into a cup and then brushing it on?
John I used the Weldwood contact cement a year ago and 4000 miles all seems good .

I'm a huge fan of the Weldwood contact cement. But specifically the gel version. Stock item at my local HD and Lowes. I find the gel version stays put, is easier to work with, and in general just works better. Doesn't usually need recoat(s) like the regular version sometimes does.

Thank you both. I got a little antsy, as I had to get this done today so I went with the recommended 3M Super 77 adhesive and it worked out fine. It's actually a pretty good nozzle that you can spray with some amount of precision so with some good masking it worked out OK. You can see the final result here (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?31167-Greek-Guys-Garage-Roadster-Build-9509-(final-touches-before-body-install)&p=512645&viewfull=1#post512645).

The reason they say to use 3M Super77 is that other contact cement can melt foam depending on it's composition.
