On a MK4 roadster, the manual is says for a rough alignment the dimension between the outer tie rod ends should be 53-1/16" between ends. At that number my spindles are toed out at close to 45 degree.
First do I need to cut down the threaded section-- there's no way it will work as is.
Second, is there a reason that 53-1/6" number is so far off-- I'm guessing it's probably closer to 49 or 50" after eyeing it.
