Hello Forum,
I'm about 3 months into my build and like some, I've documented my build via a YouTube channel. Honestly, it's made the whole project more fun. Something about filming it and sharing it with others makes each step seem more substantial. I also see it as a way of "paying it forward" as I've been following several builds for the past year and they have been extremely helpful. Like I've said several times before on this forum, I know nothing about auto mechanics so I do fumble along a bit in several parts of the build (like putting the torque wrench on the bolt instead of the nut...which was pointed out by several astute viewers).
So with that said, my build is a bit atypical. There are parts that most of you would find pretty boring-- just wrenching and riveting. However, there are several videos (I've made 12 to date) that show some interesting (read as funky) departures from a normal build. When Dave Smith says "you can build it like you want to", we'll I took that to heart. Take a peek at my videos and scroll through the titles to find the more interesting ones.
A few highlights are:
Fiberglass drop trunk
Custom roll bar
Custom fiberglass dash
and soon to come, a fully custom exhaust and muffler (this one scares me a bit... :)
Enjoy!
