I have a problem with my build. It has the 3 link suspension and standard Koni coil over shocks. The spring is hitting the mounting bracket on the rear end. The MK 4 has been driven 500 miles and I put it on jackstands
and removed the wheels to inspect. I can see a place on the right rear spring where it rubs on the 3rd member bracket. I double checked the manual to see if I put something together wrong but didn't find anything. Could you help me please?
Thanks
Jeff

Do you have any pictures or more specific about where its hitting? What side? Are the shocks body up or down?

pics? do you have the appropriate spacers on the shock mounts?
I assume you have the red Koni shocks? I had the same issue and after discussing with the pros, I flipped the shocks over (springs on top).
Here is the discussion documented in my build thread: https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?24916-Papa-s-MKIV-Roadster-Build-9115-(Post-Grad)-One-million-views!!!&p=285839&viewfull=1#post285839

One thing that may help is to play with the upper shock mount by moving them back a bit.
Around 40-50 seconds into the attached video you will be able to see what I did:

Also, please double check your pinion angle because it too could be a factor.

Flipping the shock over will solve my problem. I did look at the pinion angle but even if I moved it all the way the spring still didn't clear
Thanks for everyone's help

I seem to recall when I built my MK3 (with factory ordered 3 link), that builders had to trim off a small piece of the 3 link frame on the left side for added clearance.
