Another milestone reached. I received my title and registration today in the mail. The body is almost ready for paint, hope to have it back before Christmas.

Congratulations! I’ve been trying for almost 3 months to complete my registration in California, one headache after another.

Does the title mention color, or is that with the registration? Wondering around timing between title and paint since I assumed I'd have to get it painted as well before the title.

I am in Wisconsin, I have registered 4 other cars over the years, all with hobbyist plates. All the previous builds I had to sent photos of the cars with the registration forms. This time I sent the certificate of origin, a title and registration form and a check for the title, registration fee, and sales tax for the cost of the initial kit purchase. In total it cost about $2100 and the license plates are lifetime plates. I got the canceled check back in about 2 weeks, then the title was received about 2 months later. I did list the color the car is going to be on the registration form, is not painted yet, it's at the body shop now.

I'm happy!
