View Full Version : Wilwood footbox
From my understanding, the footbox that ships attached you the frame is for the mustang pedal box and a different one should be used for the Wilwood pedal box. There was not a different sheet metal foot box in the same box as the Wilwood pedal box and I do not recall seeing anything that looks similar to the mustang footbox that was screwed to the frame. Can someone please point me to a picture of what the Wilwood footbox looks like? I assume the mustang footbox can't be used.

Thank you both for the quick response. That looks exactly like what came attached to the frame. Has FFR stopped shopping the mustang footbox as standard? It appears they shipped the Wilwood footbox attached to the frame. I just want to ensure I don't screw anything up.

I can't speak to what they're shipping now, but this is what the one that shipped with my kit (2/2022) looks like - this should be the mustang piece.

Thank you, this confirms things. My kit was not shipped with the mustang footbox. It has the Wilwood footbox attached from FFR.

I got the Wilwood pedal box attached and the Mustang box front packaged separately (kit ordered 6/21). I included the Wilwood brake option in my initial order so perhaps F5 proactively attached the Wilwood box front?

That is what I got. I ordered the Wilwood brake option, so the correct Wilwood sheet metal was attached to my frame when it arrived in October 2022.

The new kits seem to be coming with the Wilwood pedal box front panel installed. I am not sure when the change was made, but the one I picked up last week had the Wilwood front panel installed.

All complete kits come with the wilwood pedal box, its not an option. Not to be confused with the wilwood brakes themselves.
The mustang piece is for when you're using a doner.. with the basic kit.
