Hey Guys
Has anyone had the steering rack rubber boots coming in contact with the rack mounts on each side when turning the wheel all the way to either end of travel on the wheels? If you would be using the race mode mounting holes it would not be a problem. I could cut through the top holes on the frame steering rack mounts to allow some room but I am a little reluctant to as may weaken the mounts. I foresee the boots rubbing through at some point.
It just seems the tie rod ends should go down through the top instead of coming up from the bottom. Would be a straighter shot. Just me.
The steering rack I used is an after market Fox body one purchased online.
Any help would be appreciated.

What position is your suspension in? Hanging with the chassis elevated? If so, things will be a lot different with it on the ground at ride height. For reference, the lower control arm will be roughly parallel to the ground when at ride height. Very different than with it hanging. I don't have any issues with the boots rubbing on my Coupe. The geometry with the tie rod ends into the bottom of the spindles will look a lot different too. Don't second guess that.
