Folks,

I reached out to FFR and they basically told me that they can give no advice on tire/rim size other than what they offer. I am reaching out to the brain trust in this forum to see if this tire and rims will work? If not, I will look to match the 17 or 18" to their sizes.

I am looking at 18x9 (F) and 18x10 (R). I have seen a lot of chatter on the forums on what sizes may fit or may not and as always I may get confused by some of their answers. Here are the details:

Front 18x9" SVE Series 3 Wheels 265/35/18 Sumitomo HTR Z5 Tires

Rear 18x10" SVE Series 3 Wheels 285/35/18 Sumitomo HTR Z5 Tires

WHEEL SPECS

Front:

· Size: 18x9

· Offset: +24mm

· Backspacing: 5.94

· Lip Size: 1.00"

· Weight: 23.10lbs

· Lug Pattern: 5x114.3

Rear:

· Size: 18x10

· Offset: +20mm

· Backspacing: 6.28

· Lip Size: 2.50"

· Weight: 25.95lbs

· Lug Pattern: 5x114.3

Thanks for the help.

Bill

I am also looking for some advice on this. Has anyone bought from Vintage Wheels and what was their experience with them? Who does everyone like to by their wheels and tires from? I am looking at getting the traditional Halibrand Style wheels, 17 or 18's?

Take a look at the AC-111 line from ET Wheels.

Looks like your wheels will be fine. The fronts have identical specs to FFRs 18in wheels. The rears are slightly different because they are 10in width and FFRs are 11in width.

I bought a set of pin drive wheels from Vintage and they are very nice. Bob is good to deal with and knows his stuff about both wheels and Factory Five.

Those look really nice! What are your plans for tires?

This thread is timely. I was looking for a particular look and I probably emailed Bob a half dozen times about various questions. He was really patient with me and gave me some suggestions. This is what I ended up with and will order from Vintage:

Hi Dan

Here is the link to the wheels on that car.
Please note the SPF uses a narrow rear end so you would not have the same deep dish as the photo on your FF

we can anodize the spinners black but the shade may not exactly match the wheel - we cannot powder coat real spinners -it does not hold up

We do currently have the components to build.

I went with Nitto G2, I think a good all around choice.

NT555 G2 275/40/17
NT555 G2 315/35/17

Bob is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I just received the following rims for my MKIV. These are pin drive width rims with custom color. Was planing to use narrow IRS but FFR no longer supports. Had to go with 8.8 ford from Levy racing.

176320
176321.

Plan to use either Proxis R888R or Nitto NT-01. 255/40 and 315/35
