I purchased a Blue Print 302 with carburetor. I thought it would come with a mechanical fuel pump. It came with a Holley in line electric fuel pump. The direction say it must be mounted below and close to the fuel tank. Not finding s good location. Any suggestions.

We have IRS and made a plate to bolt it to the lower mounts on the frame just in front of the tank. So far we haven’t had any issues with it there. This is the best picture I could come up with from the build.

Did the same thing. Have a 3 link suspension. Fashioned a rectangular pad out of 1/8" alloy & attached it to the rear of the PS 4" tube. Pump & hose fittings all fit to that. Filter is mounted above on the large rectangular fore/aft tube over the axle

I converted my crate engine to a mechanical pump. It is not too difficult, remove the water pump and timing cover, change the pin in the cam. Attach the eccentric. Button it back up. Bolt on a mechanical pump. Simple, safe, mechanical. If you go electric, think about an inertia switch. In a crash, an electric fuel pump can be a flame thrower.
