Problem with the forum, subscriptions

For some unknown reason, threads that I've started or replied to aren't subscribed to, and I don't get a notification. I've checked the box for "instant email subscription notification" but still not getting any notifications.

I think I just started a new thread asking the same question. I don't want email notification. Just to be able to check the "Subscribed Threads" area for follow-up etc. That area for me is blank also and I've been a contributor to certain threads.

It also times out my login after just a short time. Even while in the middle of creating or responding to threads. It will say I need to refresh and login again.
