I bought Hooker headers. They will go on this week, but I did notice that #5 spark plug is almost completely blocked. Wire will have to go on plug before header goes on motor.

I went with the Ram Horn headers that FFR is now recommending on my 35 truck with a SBC400. My understanding is that the shorty headers hit the firewall/frame in the passenger footwell area. The Ram Horns provide a lot of clearance all around. The only downside is the need to route spark plug wires from below to avoid contact with the Ram Horns.

And.....after having them for a year....they don't fit. Driver side header hits the frame....passenger side hits the firewall.

Flowtech Mid Length Headers 31102FLT ....recommended by F5....are no longer available.

I bought an unused set off eBay.

I used Sanderson gasketless headers on my SBC. I had to do quite a bit of dimpling and wound up having to install ceramic boots for the wires. My 3, 4, 5, and 6 plugs have little or no clearance. The headers look great but I’m not sure how the setup will work long term. The Summit part number was CC3-158-SEC.

For an over the frame rail option Shoenfeld #1346 and #1346-3 should fit; however, the collectors may need to be angled outward.
We have a Factory-5 family member running them on his 33 Hot Rod and they look cooler than cool.
