As some of you have followed my build on the Milano Project, I had an opportunity to pick up a started kit (serial number F5R1008249RD circa 2014). I had to sell my MKII 4402 kit that I had owned for 10 years. I loved that car, but ultimately it came down to wanting to build the best car for me and the I wanted to build my roadster from scratch and with IRS. My goals were simple for my roadster:

• UltraSonic Mica Blue with Ford Twisted Orange stripes with Lotus inspired stripes and paint around the front opening

• A removable custom wooden center dash section Stained Grey and held by Aluminum side sections
• Dual USB Charge ports
• Heater and modified heated seats covers
• GPS Reverse Speedo from Speedhut with integrated High beam and turn Signals
• Russ Thompson Turn Signal
• Armrest / cubby cover on wooden transmission cover stained grey
• Darker grey Wilton Wool carpet throughout
• Vintage Kirkey Lowback seat with modified covers for heated seats

I couldn't be happier with the final results. It was a fun journey where I was able to use my engineering background, software development and mechanic skills all at the same time and the only person I had to make happy was me. Plans for the car are autocross, road course and cruises with my friends in the Gateway Cobra Club.
The build is dedicated to Jack Turnbull who taught me so much and encouraged my curiosity with everything.
