As some of you have followed my build on the Milano Project, I had an opportunity to pick up a started kit (serial number F5R1008249RD circa 2014). I had to sell my MKII 4402 kit that I had owned for 10 years. I loved that car, but ultimately it came down to wanting to build the best car for me and the I wanted to build my roadster from scratch and with IRS. My goals were simple for my roadster:
A modernized interpretation of a classic with a Marvel theme. Colors

Body
• UltraSonic Mica Blue with Ford Twisted Orange stripes with Lotus inspired stripes and paint around the front opening
• VRaptor Side Vents and Hood Vents
• Quick Latch Hood Pins
• Chrome Quick Jacks
• Breeze Front Screen
• Wind wings
• Sun Visors
• Breeze Side Mirrors
• Rear View Mirror on center post
• Drop trunk option
• FFMetal Trunk battery box
• Firewall forward 2"

Cockpit
• Cockpit that will easily fit a larger person (I'm 6'2" and heavy built so this was important)
• Light Grey leather covering dash, bulkhead Door sills and Armrest
• Dash pushed back to give more leg room with a customer center console
• A removable custom wooden center dash section Stained Grey and held by Aluminum side sections
• Dual USB Charge ports
• Heater and modified heated seats covers
• GPS Reverse Speedo from Speedhut with integrated High beam and turn Signals
• Russ Thompson Turn Signal
• Armrest / cubby cover on wooden transmission cover stained grey
• Darker grey Wilton Wool carpet throughout
• Vintage Kirkey Lowback seat with modified covers for heated seats
• Blue tooth amp and sound system
• MGW Shifter and new Shift ball
• Lokar E-Brake on top of Trans tunnelW Shifter and new Shift ball

Powertrain
• 600 RWHP
• Dart SHP Block w/ Forged 347 Big Bore Rotating assembly with 22CC dish pistons at 9.2 compression
• AFR 195 Competition Heads
• Custom ground cam (Comp)
• Holley Dual Sync Cam Plug
• Holley Coil Near Plug
• Holley Fuel regulator
• Holley HP Plus EFI System with 1000 cfm Throttle Body
• Vortech V3 Supercharger
• Wastegate and BOV (controls how much boost at different speeds 4Lbs 1st, 8 Lbs 2nd, 12LB 3rd+)
• Vortech V3 Supercharger
• Treadstone intercooler
• Edlebrock EFI RPM Intake
• TKO-600RR Transmission
• IRS with 3.27:1 Rear Diff with solid aluminum bushings
• Wilwood 6 piston brakes on 13" Rotors and 4 piston rear brakes with built in drum e-brake on 11.8" rotors
• Wilwood remote brake bias adjuster

Tires & Wheels
• FR500 17" Deep Dish Silver rims
• Nitto 315/35 R17 Rear and 275/45 R17 Front

I couldn't be happier with the final results. It was a fun journey where I was able to use my engineering background, software development and mechanic skills all at the same time and the only person I had to make happy was me. Plans for the car are autocross, road course and cruises with my friends in the Gateway Cobra Club.
The build is dedicated to Jack Turnbull who taught me so much and encouraged my curiosity with everything.

I really like the paint scheme on this one, both the color choices and how the stripes wrap around the nose. Sets it apart from a lot of the other cobras out there. Really nice looking build. Congrats!

Wow! Love everything about this one. Great paint. I think you will see lots of flattering imitation with upcoming builds. Awesome engine bay. Congratulations. Keep adding photos. Love to see how you routed that supercharger, interior...

Very clean! I love the sheet metal fabrication in the engine bay.

Thanks for the comments, guys.
for sLarson
A friend has his own sawmill and he had a piece of cured white oak that we shaved down to a consistent thickness. I then laid everything out on it with paper templates until I was happy

Once I stained it it took on a whole new look. Then I had the painter cover it, the center console and the armrest in 4 coats of clear. I'm real happy with the result and if I want to change the gauges, the whole gauge cluster pops out and disconnects with a 29 pin connector and a few 4 pin plugs.

For Straversi

I made all the aluminum panels in the engine bay. For the supercharger I outlined it and slowly kept opening everything up until it fit. The pipes run down under the PS fender to a Wastegate and BOV. the wastegate is controlled by 2 mac valves. It uses CO2 to give me a constant pressure with a tank in the trunk. The HP+ ECU allows me to build a ramp curve for my boost that is based on speed. I can play with the ramp to get the most out of it without blowing off the tires. We vent prior to the treadstone intercooler to keep it from getting heat soaked. During dyno testing it was keeping the air charge within 3 degrees of ambient according to the tuner.

Once exiting the intercooler, it runs back up the DS fender and re-enters the engine bay to go to the low profile hat on the 1000cfm throttle body. I had to make some mounting tabs in front of the radiator with a little standoff from it. Then I had to re-make the panels that guide the air into the radiator to account for the piping.
