I've run into a major snag with installing the brakes for my IRS on my roadster. I ordered the complete IRS/brake package from FFR and per the manual, I downloaded the install instructions on line. Obviously, I've got some sort of serious mismatch going on. Using the supplied adapter and following the directions there is no way the calipers will line up with the rotors. I've gone at this every way I can figure, and I'm literally inches off. I even tried to see if things lined up without the adapter plates, and while it's closer it binds against the rotor. The front brakes were easy-- but these have me beat. I'd love some suggestions from the group. I'm so far off, that I suspect I've been shipped the wrong parts. See the attached pictures. Also, on a much smaller note, as you'll see in the pictures, I'm missing some bolts (not in the kit) I'll source those locally, but that is the least of my problems here.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

What diameter is that rotor?

Could it just be the wrong rotor or the wrong brackets for the 11.65" rotor? Maybe you have brackets for the 13" rotor setup?

you are installing the bracket wrong. You need to cut the ear off the spindle and move the whole bracket in. the top hole of the bracket uses one of the hub bolts to secure. Please see these instructions from FFRs web site.

Ah yes, I see that now. I thought the cut that they were showing involved the previous modification of the spindle. Now this all makes sense.
It's crazy how I wasn't able to see this last night after hours of fumbling. As soon as I read "you need to cut the ear off the spindle" this morning, everything came into focus.

Thanks!

Your next issue will be getting the emergency brake cables installed. They will not install as the instructions show because the instructions show installing the 11" calipers and bracket, but when it comes to the emergency brake cables the instructions switch over to the 13" calipers. The 11" caliper mounts behind the rotor and the 13" caliper mounts on top of the rotor. With the 11" caliper mounted as it is supposed to be, the cable brackets are directly in line with the axel. How has anyone else solved this problem?
