That stretch of elevated highway is notorious for icing over. The city didn't expect the conditions and didn't treat the road and the drivers were caught off-guard on a sheet of ice.

I am so jealous of where you live. My sister went to CSU back in the 90's and I've loved CO ever since. Parker seems like a great place, close enough to DEN but far enough away to have some land.

Thanks -- I always enjoy your pics, Papa. I sold our place in the CO Rockies a little over a year ago. Still recovering from the tax sting, but glad I got out at the peak (pun fully intended).
