Looking for some 1/8" foam material to install under vinyl on my coupe dashboard. Any suggestions for material and where to buy?
Also, comments welcome for opinions on whether people like or dislike their dashboard materials in general....
There's this one. https://www.upholsterysupplyonline.com/foam-upholstery-foam/ They also have the material that will match the seats almost exactly. I think it's called Wrapper Extreme. By the way, scroll down to the 1/8" landau top foam. That's the one you would use.
This is what I used under leather on my roadster dash: https://www.ebay.com/itm/281229222493
1/8" landau closed cell foam padding. Works great.

I bought my foam material and vinyl at the coupon store in my neighbourhood. Easy to find.

I used this: Neoprene Sponge Foam Rubber Roll Adhesive,Easy Cut DIY Foam Sheet, Perfect Cosplay Padding- Multi-Function Soundproof Rubber Foam Sheet (12 in x 59 in x 1/8 Inch, White) https://a.co/d/36yRVDU from Amazon, in two thicknesses (1/8" and 1/4"). Self adhesive means less fuss laying up foam, then leather (or whatever finish material you choose) The two different thicknesses helped to smooth the transitions around visor and gauge panel.
