Just a friendly warning to be sure that you tighten your AC connections at the evaporator core BEFORE you get the AC unit permanently positioned in the chassis.....so you don't have to do terrible, ugly things to perfectly useful tools....

Shane - you're right again. When I built mine years ago, the a/c wasn't available until after the car was completed. Installing it at that point was unbelievably a chore. I had to fabricate several custom wrenches (out of perfectly good ones) to get all the connections tight. They now sit in a draw with other "modified" tools I have accumulated probably never to be used again!

Got to love all the specialty tools with a single purpose.

When I finally got my hands on my dad's tool box and tools (he own his own auto repair shop his whole life and passed away from cancer long ago) there were a bunch of specially made tools that I have zero clue what car and repair they were ever used on. Hard to get ride of them as they are a piece of him, but I'll never know what they were used on.
