Am replacing my FFR supplied single reservoir with a dual tank unit. Need the dimensions of the hoses that connect them to the master cylinders. Also remember FFR replaced the original ones that came with my kit, that they said was incorrect, with a different set. Is there a specific type of hose required?

Do not use fuel hose. I made that mistake and the brake fluid sweated through it over a 6 months period. Got replacement hose from a hose specialist, but can't remember the spec

EPDM rubber hose is what you are looking for .

EPDM air hose is easy to find, often you buy it by the foot.

I found the proper hose impossible to get locally. Even auto parts and hydraulic supply places didn't know what I was talking about. I bought some "plastic" hose that was supposed to be resistant to brake fluid. I figured that brake fluid bottles are some sort of plastic so it should be OK. Apparently not. The brake fluid is sweating through it slowly. I ordered the proper stuff from Summit Racing and will replace it.

I found EPDM in the diameter I wanted at TractorSupply.

Found it at Summit sold in the 30 inch lengths at $7.94. Its RED like I have now & it lists 1/4" ID diameter is this good? Its in stock & ready to ship.

I thought it was strange that you said it was red. I checked the picture on Summit's web site and yes, it is red. But the hose I received is black. So if that really matters to you, check with them. And yes, the 1/4" ID is what I used.

No color is not important as long as its the correct material.

FWIW When I received the kit from FFR the hoses were black. Few weeks later got a box of red ones from FFR with a note to throw out the black hoses as not being "correct". No other explanation was given.

I've purchased compatible brake fluid reservoir hose from this eBay vendor several times. Not the cheapest and not sure of the exact material but has held up just fine.

I experienced the same problem. I got my kit about a year after Bear-AvHistory, and my (single) brake reservoir hose was red. I looked all over for that same hose, but it was discontinued. In my experience, all of the chain auto parts stores had no clue. Finally an auto parts store run by a couple of old guys recommended power steering hose. It has held up well over the 6 or so years it's been installed. I've learned a lot about sourcing materials since then. I'd go with edwardb's source...
