Haven't made the attempt yet, but is there a particular technique to bolting the hood hinges to the hood, while the body is on and the engine bay full of the engine and the radiator? As usual, the manual illustrates how easy the process is by taking a picture that is out-of-sequence with the rest of the manual. The following two pictures are right-after each other in the manual; one has nothing in the way from underneath the body in the rad area, and the other suddenly has the radiator suddenly in place.

Any helpful tips?

Thanks

bolt it on with the hood open. Leave all the slotted bolts slightly loose. Close the hood and position it where you want it. Tighten the bolts from underneath or through the hood scoop opening. If it moves a little after being tightened, loosen all 8 just a bit and retighten.

Duh... Yes, remove the hood scoop! Didn't think of that. I should be able get the extended sockets in from the scoop opening. Thanks!

Set the hood in place with all the bolts just loose as already stated. Then tighten. You don't have to get them to the final torque. Just snug enough to not move. Open hood and final torque. Scoop opening access is a good idea. If necessary, it is possible to reach all the bolts with the engine and related installed. Each one is a little different. But with extensions, etc. it's possible. Not easy, but possible. I've done it several times.
