Okay, feel stupid, but I found a couple of brackets that I coated some time ago, and for the life of me I can't figure out what they were originally for. I've mounted the body fitted the hood, doors, and trunk and am I about to set the trunk latch pin. Then I'll start on the door latches. Windscreen is temporarily in place.

I've scanned the manual and can't a photo of what it might be.

I think those are used for hood pins. If you do not use the hinge system then you wold use these.

Thanks everyone! Thought it was one of those Ikea furniture moments where you finish building the bed frame / book case / coffee table... and you have parts left in the box!

Love the dead-pedal idea.

you're going to find a ton of unused parts and a few missing hardware parts as well. that's part of the fun. I made a dead pedal using my left over brackets as well
