Wrong air filter?

I've been chipping away with sub-assemblies as I wait on a few parts to arrive. One of which was the air intake, as I wanted to remove the mass air meter from the stock intake to clear out the large plastic pieces that aren't used for these builds (cant imagine any resale value).

I pulled the sensor, installed it in the Coyote kit intake tube. Then I went to install the air filter on the intake tube - not happening. The intake tube is 4" but the air filter ID is ~3". Anyone run into this issue? These are all kit supplied parts.

I reached out to FF to hear what they have to say. Included pictures in case anyone knows right off the bat if this is the wrong P/N. The coyote instructions only refer to the FFR p/n

Did that air filter come with the kit or coyote package? I got nothing like that, and thought we had to source that on our own.

I think I got the 3" filter with the 20th anniv coyote roadster. Hoping someone needs it, so I can feel good about giving it to them.
Thanks to the guys that sent me parts during my build, free and bought, exh studs, ecu mount brakets, trim, sound deadening, etc.

I'll have to go check my inventory to see which box it came in. I think it came as a back order actually, so it could be the generic kit filter vs. the coyote accessory option.

I also received the one you did with my Mark 4/ Coyote package back in 2021.

One call and a photo to FFR and I received the correct one :)

I received this 4" air filter with my complete kit order in the Fall of 2020, which included the Coyote fitment kit.

Here's a picture of all the air filter parts I received from F5, as part of the "Coyote fitment kit". In the picture below, the tube between the air filter and the silicone elbow is not the correct one for the Gen 3 Coyote. Nor are the black plastic sleeves used. The tube below it is correct.

Looking at your box I definitely got the wrong one. I only had the FFR p/n, so assumed it was right.
