I have built the front suspension, hub & brakes and the wheel spins without contact to the brake pads. I have not installed any brake lines yet.

I installed my 3-link rear end and brakes but the rear disk it contacting the rear brake pads and it is difficult to turn the wheel. The rear brake pads seemed to be thicker than the front brake pads. The brakes are the standard ones that come with the complete kit.

Should I find different brake pads? Might there be something I did incorrectly. The pads are right up against the outside of the caliper, so I don't think they could get any wider apart.

Any ideas appreciated.

What brake set are you using?

I just installed Wilwoods and you need to put spacers (thin washers) on the caliper mounting bolts that move the caliper inboard or outboard until it is centered over the rotor.

Plus one with Metalmaniac I have the Wilwood upgrade as well and had one of the rear calipers very tight almost too tight to install. It took a few attempts to install and the shim washers are necessary as well.

I am using the standard 11.65" Rotor that comes with the complete kit, no upgrade. It seems to me they are touching on both sides of the rotor, so I think the pads are too thick. I didn't compare them to the front pads, but they seem to be thicker than those were. Standard brake kit on the front too, no upgrade.

Curious if anyone with the same rear brake set up sees the same thing.

Thanks.

Make sure your pistons are fully retracted and the dimples on the brake shoes align with the slots on the piston. See the video below at the approximate 17 minute mark.

The pistons are fully retracted. The pads are as far back as they can go. I don't remember seeing any dimples on the rear pads. They were on the front pads.

Thanks.
