I have IRS with Wilwood disks. Mounting 315/35 17 tires on Halibrand wheels. The tires are solid against the Koni springs. Will I need wheel spacers for this combination?

You shouldn't. Both my Mk4 Roadster and Gen 3 Coupe with that combination cleared. For a Roadster, spacers would stick the tire out of the body. I'm assuming Factory Five Halibrand wheels with their standard offset? Probably you haven't set the IRS alignment yet?

Exact same thing on my IRS Mk4 Roadster. I don't have the halibrands, but our wheel/tire sizes are the same (315/35/17). The wheels only rub the springs when the car is in mid air and fully clears it when it's on the ground. I ended up getting a set of 3/16" spacers to clear it. I haven't taken my car to alignment yet though... was hoping that a proper alignment would fix it.

EDIT: Interestingly it's only the driver's side wheel that does that. No idea why.

I put 1” spacers on my Gen 3 Coupe and a customers. Not because they were hitting the shocks but because the rear wheels were too far inbound to the body. What about flipping the coil over!

How 'bout showing us a picture so we can diagnose it?

Readjusted camber. Everything OK. Panicked too soon.
