Body measurements

I’m re-arranging my garage in anticipation of my kit arriving in February and trying to figure out where best to store the two parts of the body.

Can someone send me the approximate measurements (length, width, height) of the two body parts?

Main body is not as long as a Miata and shorter than a set of golf clubs! ;)


Thats mine being stored in a friend's garage (least cluttered I have ever seen in my life)...I can get measurements in a day or 2 if nobody responds, but maybe that will be entertaining until someone posts a real answer :rolleyes:

Honestly online (ffr website) I'm seeing overall length of 173", Height of 46.5" (on tires obviously so probably about 40" tall on the floor), Width 72"

I'm going to guess from the picture of my body relative to the Miata (which is 155.6 inches per internet) that its length is probably just short of about 120" without hood. The nose appears to be about 72" high sitting there on the floor based on it going about 1/2 way up the window frame....

Thanks Hank - Less tall than a set of clubs, shorter than a Miata, and half way up a window! That actually is pretty helpful (and funny). The body length does not look like it is 10 feet (120 inches) but it much be close to that. I have spot where I am thinking I could stand it up on on the rear end - I might need to build a bit of framework around it - not sure if it will "stand" on its rear end? Then I may be able to slide the hood in next to it or I can suspend the hood from the ceiling, or find a friend with room in their garage - but when I look at my friend's garages they are full of cr*p - a lot of old Mustang, Bronco, and other stuff! I would prefer to keep my stuff in my garage, partly because it will be cool to look at it every day!

Sorry for the delay John, work threw some curveballs this week as is wont to do sometimes...here are measurements with a tape, not compared to a miata, haha :rolleyes:! As for the rear standing on end it won't really (looks like a 20 degree angle on the back end cutoff), but I suspect you could hang it by the pontoons, or you could put the back on the floor at 20 degrees standing up and "lean" it against something...

Body Length - 122.5"
Body Height sitting on floor - 41"
Body Width at the 'hips' (widest) - 75"
Body Width at Pontoons - 72"

Hood Length - 73.5"
Hood Height - 28.5"
Hood Width - 72"
