As many of you know, I have a build tread going for my '35 truck (link in my signature below). I'm in my planning stage and buying what I can before the FF kit is delivered.

I'll have a series of these "Specific Question" treads so to keep topics separate.

This Thread is regarding the Coyote A/C kit, FF part # 34692 for '35 Truck. I'm wondering what all the part and pieces are in this Coyote A/C kit, FF part # 34692?? I'm trying to avoid buying duplicate parts.

And YES, I've asked several folks from FF via email and have yet to hear from them. So I thought I'd reach out to those with real world experience.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Are you trying to avoid buying the FFR supplied unit? If so you will need a Coyote A/C compressor and then what ever aftermarket A/C unit you choose.

Hi Mike..... do you know if the Coyote A/C compressor comes from Vintage Air?

Thx Mark

Not for my 35 truck build. But the FF supplied A/C compressor for my Coupe/Coyote build was a Ford part number CR33-19497-BA. Brand: Zexel. Type: DKS-17DS. Listed for 05-14 Mustang 5.0 V8. Fit directly into the A/C mounts on the Gen 3 Coyote.

Regarding the A/C kit from Factory Five -- I'd highly recommend checking exactly what system they're supplying. There is a significant difference between the space available at the dash in the Hot Rod versus the Truck. With the Truck having much more. Pictures I've seen of Hot Rod builds with the FF A/C installed show the same Siroco evaporator as comes with the kit I installed in my Coupe. It's very compact and fits in the Coupe and apparently also in the Hot Rod. Gets the job done. But it's very basic, with only two always on outlets and no ability to switch between floor, dash, and defrost. The Truck has more than enough room to install a much more OE featured system. I installed a Vintage Air 960-68000-VUZ-A Gen II ComPac Evaporator Kit. It fits quite easily. Meant that I had to source all the individual components myself vs. the all-in-one kit from FF. And probably not a big cost savings. But something to consider. More details in my build thread.

Hey Paul.... I follow all your posts and already bought the Vintage Gen II evaporator and the Dakota Digital Automatic controller (see pics below). So I'm trying to determine what's all in the AC kit from FF.

I don't know why FF can articulate what's in their kits.... very frustrating!!!

Thx Mark

Here's the head unit that controls the A/C & Heat for the set temp.

In the pic below, the entire package is shown.... 3 air temp sensors, one temp prob that goes into the evaporator, fan control module for the evaporator fan, etc.
