Well, in the chaos that is my garage, I manage to lose the two front spindle hub dust covers and nuts. Does anyone know what year Mustang those are from? I am not going to bother FF for my screw-up.

Skuzzy - I had to locate mine yesterday, they weren't in the front IRS box "1i", they were in box 22 for me. I was having the same thoughts, but were with the brake lines in my kit...maybe there's a chance ;)

I've had the same challenge with the backorders and missing parts. The jumping around isn't bad, but definitely stretching the limits of my inventory skills.

Mine were in box 23, and I did inventory them, but somewhere along the line, they got misplaced. In my garage, anything is possible when things are piled on top of other things. They will show up, eventually, but I already invested about four hours trying to find them. Cheaper and faster to buy them from a parts store.

Well, about an hour after I get the spindle nuts torqued down, I find the missing bag of parts. You just have to laugh at the absurdity of it all. So, I have spares now.

During my MK3.1 build, I'm pretty sure I spent more time looking for the tool that I just had than I did actually building.

Working on cars is:

48% looking for the tool you just had.
48% looking for the part.
2% doing the work.

Well, this makes me feel better about it taking 10 years to complete. Based on this I have less than 6 months of actual work in the build!
