Gen 3 Side curtain to quarter window seal????

I am really struggling here. The gap between the quarter window and the side curtain is my problem. With out making parts, which I am not only willing but fully capable of doing, I am unsuccessful i piecing togeter a seal. The Rob Thompson set up does not work on a Gen 3. Any one got a solution? Pictures of said solution. I have found some seals on Steele Rubber Products website that might work but I hope the brilliance of the hive mind will spew forth the solution to me magically here. Anyone?

I have a similar idea. My problem is that the gap at the top is a little over an inch while the gap at the bottom is virtually zero. I will compare your photo with my reality and work from there. The "channel" pieces may be the key. Thanks for the in sight. Back to working on it now.
