I met him a couple of years ago when he was at our office/photo studio for a photo shoot with one of his cars for High Performance Pontiac magazine. Nice guy...

I had the good fortune to meet Mr. Panch at the Mint 400 off road race in the early 70's. His son Richie was driving and had some sort of physical problem and they asked me to finish the race for them. We were pitted with them because my sponsor was a good friend of Marvins. The car I had been driving was out of the race so I was glad to get more driving time.They were real happy to get a finish at a major off road race. I got a nice letter and invitation visit them in Daytona Beach. Both Marvin and Richie were real Southern Gentlemen. Sadly Richie was killed in a plane crash just as his NASCAR career was starting. Glad to see Marvin is having fun.
