Hey all -

Quick question on spacers - if 0.25-0.75 inches they can be used with longer studs and hubcentric spacers?

If 1" or larger then theses should be the bolt-on spacers?

I like the look of the stock wheels "tucked" but for track days planning on a second set of rims with track rubber on them, and then spacers offer an advantage in the turns....seems removable hubcentric spacers may be the way to go...BUT will the fake "knockoffs" of the hallibrands fit longer wheel studs with no spacer installed?

Hope this makes sense!
Hank

What do you mean by "fit" Hank? are you wanting to use the 5-spoke mask over longer studs?

Just looked at this with my wheels. I don't think you can have a stud any more than 1/4" longer, if that, and still have clearance between stud ends and the fake knockoff mask. For track days, maybe you are running a set of wheels with the offset you are looking for, foregoing the Hallibrand look ... I am probably missing your question completely ...

No worries Bob. Yes that was my question. I have bolt on spacers that are a fixed width. Was wondering if I ran long studs then could just use slip on spacers when in "track" mode with track rims and tires, then for just driving around put the hallibrands on with no spacers (maybe 1" in the rear). I just mounted my stock studs this weekend and checked them against my hallibrands and you are right. Won't be able to run the fake "knock off" cover on them with longer studs and no spacers. So will just stick with fixed spacers.
