This past Wed PM was drag racing followed by HPDE on Thurs at Sonoma Raceway, CA (Sears Point).

The camera is an Insta360 ONE X2.

Mount is a Delkin Fat Gecko Triple Mount

Camera is on a 2-3' extension off the back of the car.

These are not that 'new' but I've not seen them around- the camera has 2 lenses that capture 180+ degrees field of view each and they create two video files that are stitched together in software- and the boom disappears.

In software, you can set 'keyframes' that specify point of view (angle/zoom, etc.) even enable auto-tracking of objects, then render to a 'flat' video.

The whole thing is pretty cool in that you just set it and let it rip- and edit later or just post the 360 video which YouTube plays natively.
It's sort of like having your own camera crew or drone following you around.
