Roll bar connection way too tight. Advice please

Hello again everyone. Honest Ernie here with his mark 4 #10314 build.

Has anyone had trouble getting the rear bar of the roll bar assembly to fit. I am working on the passenger side rollbar, the male end is just too tight to allow the bar to seat. I cannot even get it to start. I had no trouble with the drivers side, the roll bars are perfectly chromed and look great. I tried friendly persuasion with a rubber mallet and even tried reaming out the top of the rear bar female end. Any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I had to use a grinding/sanding bit on the end of a dremel in the female side to get mine to fit. that and a bunch of lithium grease. you can also sand down the male end a bit.

And this if you don't want to drill a hole in your nice chrome roll bar this a great option from 520.
