May I ask "What UV / IR layer is installed in kit windshield and hatch cover?" Anything at all? Nothing is visible to the naked eye. Looking at coatings ...

Mine came with nothing and I added a 35% ceramic tint to the hatch and. 75% ceramic to the windshield.
That hatch is a perfect greenhouse for growing marijuana, I have been told

I have been told that most of today's laminar auto glass has an integrated layer that blocks most UV and IR. Tint is really only needed for a privacy screen (with consequent visibility side effects). Excepting a visor strip to help with sunrise / sunset ...

I am guessing that this is not the case with the glass that comes with the kits - Certainly can feel the heat (IR) through the back hatch on the coupe ...

Many manufacturers now offer noise and thermally insulated glass, either as an option or as standard equipment on new cars. My new daily driver offered this an an option, and I spec'ed it. It does help to cut down noise tremendously and may offer some amount of UV protection but honestly the heat rejection is minimal. I added XPEL nano ceramic window tint to all the windows - 35% on side and rear and 75% on the windshield, and it made a MASSIVE difference on cutting down heat. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the glass that FFR provides is nowhere near as good as the glass that OEM's offer as upgraded glass options, so the benefit of a good window film will be even more pronounced in your case. FWIW - 75% on the windshield is barely noticeable. If I don't tell people it's on there, they don't know. No issues with visibility at night, but the difference in cabin heat is remarkable.
