Went for a ride about a week ago. Put the car away and it was fine. Came back the next day and the windshield was cracked.
My roadster has 6000 miles on it so I guess I did alright. Replaced it with a hard coated Lexan one from 520 Speedworks. $350 including shipping.
Great quality and fast shipping. They also have a great install video on YouTube. https://520speedworks.com/shop/ols/products/cobra-lexan-windshield

Kind of wondering if I should use one of these right out of the gate. I'm early in my build and my windshield is apart because I powder coated the frame anyway.

Glass doesn’t like to bend. If you shim between the windshield posts and chassis so that no stress is introduced to the glass when the bolts are tightened the windshield won’t “spontaneously” crack.

I'm totally satisfied with the product and it was priced reasonably. I've seen other posts where people have paid $600 or higher for a Lexan windshield. Thanks Greg

I agree with Jeff. I took a lot of time to make sure the windshield frame was completely passive when installed. I also NEVER grab the windshield and pull on it for any reason like getting in/out. Ten years, limited miles, no issues. It will probably crack tomorrow....maybe I should just delete this post :)
