After a 15 min delay due to being black flagged for sound after nearly 5 hours of racing with three different drivers, we finished fourth in class E1 with the #21 car. We missed second place by only three laps, and certainly would have achieved that without the penalty! Funny thing is they were not supposed to start black flagging for sound until after 5:00. I guess we were just lucky! That leaves us third place for the overall WERC series for the year. Thanks to my team members and all the support from Thunder Valley Racing during this first enduro effort.

OK, Which one of you was screaming like a "Little Girl" down the straight away, I hear that's what sent the sound meter over the limit!!

I think it was the heartfelt "wooohoo!" that went out after John George's 2:03 lap times! Not bad to be doing course record pace 5 hours into an enduro! Hats off to those East Coast drivers!

I've uploaded a bunch of BIG pics to a new Thunderhill 2011 album:

Some interesting pics there; I hope to resize them and add proper descriptions soon.

Unfortunately, no. The PDG team was further down the pit lane. The other 3 FFR entries were right next to each other.

NASA grouped us differently this year, based, IIRC, on transporter size and class. So while the FFR PDG GTM was not grouped with the rest of the FFR cars, we did get a better look at our main competition during pit stops and such. I certainly missed hanging out with the other FFR people, but we, of course, offered tools, equipment, and help to, well really anyone that needed it. I believe Richard brought two wire feed MIG welders to the track and niether of them were in our pit space or trailer much all weekend. Fortunately it wasn't because they were being used on the GTM. :)
We are currently trying to place funding for the FFR PDG GTM for next year, and I jokingly suggested that Richard should have rented out the welders and he probably could have paid for half a season of racing!:)
