Well, my Serpent Express Hardtop hasn't sold yet
https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?43860-Serpent-Express-Hardtop-For-Sale
so I'll be using it to transport my Cobra to Florida in a few weeks.
Any suggestions for car strapping tie downs and configuration? I have D-rings on the floor in front and in back, and I have wheel stops.
Thanks,
Steve

What I have done for 30 or so years:
Car LF to trailer LF
Car RF to trailer RF
Car LR to trailer RR
Car RR to trailer LR
Let the debate begin… ;)

Around the control arms in the front to D rings and around control arms or diff housing in the rear to D rings.

Any specific tie-down straps recommendations? Assume they need to have J-hooks with clips to attach to the D-rings?

I have used tie-wrap straps around the car parts like this:

Then use load specific ratchet straps. One or two "X" patterns as Jeff suggested are advantageous to keep the car from sliding sideways.
Back in racing days our trailers were set up to strap through the car wheels, thereby allowing free movement of the suspension, not unlike tow dolly straps.

Todays clear coated or powder coated wheels can be damaged by strapping through them

Over 200,000 miles worth of towing exactly like this without an issue.

PS: 10,000lb ratchet straps and D-linked tie downs are highly recommended, better to have too much capacity, than not enough.
