View Full Version : IRS Driveshaft Adapter Compatibility
I have a 3.55 torsen center section from a 2021 GT automatic, and I'm wondering if the driveshaft adapter supplied with the IRS kit is compatible. I know the pinion flanges are different between the manual and automatic cars (or at least they were).

Center sections out of a manual vs. automatic used to have different adapters. Don't know if that's the case still. There have been several changes in the years since that center section has been used. Factory Five has both. If you get the wrong one, they should be able to fix you up with the proper one. I'm one for two on my IRS builds. First one I had to ask for the alternate and they sent it. Second one the original one with the kit was the right one.
BTW, FFR tech doesn't actively monitor this sub-forum, if you were expecting an answer from them. You're better off posting in one of the regular forums. Or ask them directly if you want an answer from them.
Thanks Paul -- I'll make sure to ask about this when I do my final order review with them. I was also a little dubious about this being actively monitored by FFR because I'm sure they have so much free time to do so ;-)
