I was reading about the push button start systems in another thread and remembered seeing a Youtube video that had some sort of electronic start security system.

It was a first start video of a FFR roadster and they used an LCD display type thing to punch in a code and then start the engine. From what I remember it was a nice looking display maybe about 5 to 6 inches wide. They just punched in 1111 (if I remember correctly), the default factory code, and then started the engine.

I didn't save the link at the time (last weekend) but reading the recent thread got me to thinking about what type of system this might of been. Of course, I can't find the video anymore and I got de-railed watching Wright-Cyclone engine starts! :D

Would anyone have any more information on what this thing was and where to read more about it?

Giant chicken guy,
I saw a thread with this device in a video. Thread started by Kempo called, "The build is picking up some speed" but it is a GTM thread. It's on the home page now.

Hope that helps, WEK.

The touch screen is called the ISIS inTOUCH MAX. It is one of many accessories to the ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System and is double din size. Here's a link.

Thanks for the link VD2021. I watched Kempo's first start video as skullandbones suggested and believe that was the video I saw on the Youtube machine.

Interesting stuff. I've been considering push button start with "keyless entry" like my wife's '11 Grand Cherokee but this looks like a nice setup too.

Edit: I meant passive keyless entry.

I added a RFID push button start with PKE to my GTM. Not the ISIS, nor even near the cost, but just as cool and hi-tech to me. Functions just like your wife's Keyless Enter-n’ Go just with out the button on the door handle..
