I have already converted some extra bearings into setup bearings. :cool: (these are a BIG time saver during set up)

One thing that is taking some extra time is finding (making) proper length ring gear bolts. The bolts that came in the install kit were too short. they are 7/16-20 NF bolts. They only engauge 3/8 of an inch into the ring gear.!! The length is not all that bad its that whoever made them put a big chamfer on the end and eliminated about 3 threads. :confused:
I bought some 1 inch long bolts and are making them the proper length in my spare time.
once done all that is left is to assemble the axle and get the back brakes sorted out.

I subscribe to the 1-½ of bolt diameter thread engagement rule of thumb. Sometimes, I refer the the Machinery’s Handbook if I need to be more precise.

It is your car, you decide what needs attention. The motor mount bolts for the Coyote supplied with my subframe, not a FF, were IMO too short. I bought high strength metric bolts 3/8" longer than supplied. The hole depth would have allowed longer, but did not want to bottom any out and left a margin of safety.
You have to be happy with the end result and if you feel some of the hardware supplied is not up to snuff, by all means replace it. You don't want to have that voice in saying why didn't you replace the bolts when it was easy.
