Does anyone have a crusher in MA that they have worked with that will take a donor car without the title? I called a couple places and they will not take the car without the title, they also never heard of what I am doing. Thanks.

Pretty sure you dont need the title. Just a copy of it along with the 2 forms to qualify the crusher.

I took what was left of my 2003 donor to a scrap yard near me and they said as long as it didn't look like a car they wouldn't need a title. I used a sawzal to cut it into 2x2 pieces and it was no problem. I kept the title and the vin plate.

Why did you keep the title and the VIN plate?
Please tell us you did not swap it over to your FFR....

I'm not doing a donor, so I'll need to do the dumb crusher thing. Not looking forward to it.

For safe keeping, in case the state ever needs to know where my running gear came from.

edit: also, there's nothing like trying to help and getting accused of illegal activity.

Not accusing you of anything, but it was a question that needed to be asked so as to not allow others to think it was a legal way to go.

Keeping the title and tag so that in the future someone knows where the parts came from, that is why the crusher gives you paperwork, so that you have a record of where the donor parts came from, and where the donor shell ended up. It's a cradle to grave process that all states use that you may not be aware of.
