Is there a market for expired harnesses? I was planning on selling the harnesses that came with my roadster but they are date stamped 2007. They've never been installed but i don't want to sell them to some unsuspecting person if they should be trashed instead.

I wouldnt hesitate to use them. If they are new in the box, then they have never seen sun etc. When was the last time your changed the belts in your daily driver?

You just can't use them at the track, but for the street you make a Strong Point Mr. Mike.

After using mine for about 15 years, I replaced them with new. The used ones went to a neighbor figure 8 racer. He was glad to have them.

I sold my pair of unused Simpson belts with expired SFI dates of June 2022 (3 months expired at time of selling)for $140 on eBay. There was seemingly no interest from buyers on the FFR forums.

He actually used them in a year end finale where they had a figure 8 school bus event. That was after he ran the bus through a camper. So, I guess the answer could be yes.

I always sold my outdated belts and harness's at a swap meet. If the car is always garaged and seat belts are always dry they should be good for any street car for many years. You don't have to
replace your regular cars seat belts after so many years!!! Race cars may sit outside....get rained in etc.....and they have no way of knowing what kind of life they lived so they make you replace them in a race vehicle every few years.. I have race belts in all my hot rods and never replace them, but they are not track driven cars
