Installed the visors today and ran across a couple things that I'm not sure how they got by FFR. The angled clips that mount to the windshield frame are 10" outside edge to outside edge, but the visor hardware is only 9-1/4" outside edge to outside edge, meaning that the set screw just barely catches on the clips. It makes no sense that the two don't match exactly. They obviously cut and drill the visor material themselves, so it would just be a matter of moving one set of holes over about a 1/2". I mean, it works, but not well.

OK, my minor rant is over. I'm so close to the finish that I can't even believe that I will be going for my in-person BAR appointment on Thursday, and if all goes well, I'll have plates and be able to drive legally after all this time.

get some #6-32 square nuts and screws and attach the tabs to the top channel of your windshield. this eliminates the possibility of a screw that is a touch too long cracking your windshield. just drop the square nuts into the opening in the center of the windshield channel or attach the hardware to the tabs first, then slide them in.
as long as you're not using a soft top, this option works pretty well.

I thought about that when I was installing, but I've got a polycarbonate windshield since mine cracked while at the painters, so no worries about cracking glass. I actually too a 6-32 tap and ran it through the holes to remove any of the edge that might have been in the way. I have considered some type of top, so I didn't want to end up with any conflict latter on, but even doing that still does not correct something that would be really simple for FFR to fix. I have no doubt that with vibration over time one or both of the visors could shake loose from those clips and end up falling in mine or someone's lap. Thanks for the suggestion though. If they do fall, that will be the direction that I'll probably end up going.
