Having trouble understanding the wiring for the LED tail lights. The adapter harness says it is to be located under the dash? The tail lights only have 2 leads the harness has 4 for each side ? Need help

This eliminates the separated brake light. Basically, it is changing from:
-left turn
-right turn
-brake light
-rear light
to
-left turn w/brake (same)
-right turn w/brake (same)
-rear light
The reason for doing under the dash is you have all the wires there. Otherwise, you'd have to do it with running wires from left rear to left right.
