Am looking for some help with this one as I can't believe that I'm the first to do this combo
I've got a Gen 2 (2016) Coyote out of a smashed Mustang
I bought a Terminator X max system for it as the stock computer was non-functional
I also put a Gen 3 intake manifold on it as the Gen2 one was damaged
Most of it is self explanatory but I've got a couple of sticking points:

1) There's no connections to the flapper valves on the intake manifold, I'd like the Terminator to control this, the question is how?
2) I have no MAT sensor from the car, is this a requirement to get it running correctly?
3) any other tips or tricks learned whilst doing yours?

Thanks

Dave

It looks like the Terminator X Max supports Coyote engines. The Terminator X has several unmapped outputs that can be configured, and I suspect this is where you will need to work to get various controls configured.

This may get you started, but I suggest finding a good Holley installer/tuner to help guide you. The Holley fourms are full of experts ready to help.

The following questions are more from a curiosity perspective. The CMCV valves on the back of the manifold connect to the Ford engine harness for my Gen 2 Coyote. So, for the the Holley Terminator X PCM, does it replace the Ford engine harness or connect to it as does the Ford Performance Controls Pack? You will find that most Coyote installers here used the FP Controls Pack. A more Mustang performance oriented web site like one of the Mustang Forums might generate more responses.
One builder here replaced the intake on his 1st Gen Coyote and there was likely no provisions for controlling the CMCVs. There are vendors out there that provide simple kits to lock the intake runners, which may be a solution for you if the Holley PCM does not control the CMCVs.
A call to Holley tech support may give you answers the quickest, that is if you are lucky enough to be able to speak with a knowledgeable staff member.
Good luck as I am curious as to the end result for the installation.
A question, why did you choose the Holley product over the Ford Performance Controls Pack? I believe they controls pack for the 2nd Gen Coyote is still being sold.

While I haven't done one on the Gen 2 Coyote specifically, we recently completed a Holley TerminatorX on a 4.6 DOHC Ford Cobra engine. For the variable intake runner motors I think you're out of luck. You'll just have to pin them open. The MAT as Holley refers to it as is an IAC (intake air temp sensor) it should plug into a stock Ford IAC (it did on our 4.6 DOHC engine).

The Holley Terminator is awesome. I just wish Holley would jump into the Coyote Gen 3. Way easier to tune by a hobbyist with free software from Holley versus $1K purchase from HP Tuners by the time you add all of your software credits. The base tune on ours from Holley was near spot on from the start. Our only issue came from the non-adjustable throttle stop on the stock Ford Throttle body. We found a work around. Customer couldn't be happier.

If you're interested in the build we used the Holley TerminatorX the playlist is here:
