Hey guys I have a question. Has anybody had problems using an engine with no history.
I have a 302 that I picked up from a friend a couple years ago with plans to use one day. Thinking about using it in my 35 truck. I was wondering if that would be a problem not having any history. If so could I get a notarized Bill of sale from a friend.

Hey,

I titled my roadster in VA. VA cares about seeing receipts for all the major components (kit, engine, transmission, rear end). If you can get a bill of sale, that will make it a lot easier.

Get that paper trail. Have your friend give you a Bill of Sale and get it Notarized. Your life at DMV will be much simpler.

I'd also add and check if any of the parts and kit from FF had sales tax on them.... as you don't want to pay twice! I can tell you for sure, if the FF kit wasn't shipped via Stewart or other commercial carrier, FF charged sales tax.
