Power Probe - which kit

I was reading Paul’s build thread and he recommended the Power Probe 3 so I looked that up and see that there is now a Powerprobe 4. There is also a master kit, that is pricey, but given that I am a complete novice and have friends with old classic who always seem to have electrical issues I’m wondering if it is worth buying the “ Power Probe IV Master Combo Kit, Red (PPKIT04) Includes 4 with PPECT3000”

I am at a point in my life where I can afford to buy good tools but is this kit overkill?

I have a Power Probe ||| and it is a great tool. The biggest addition I see in the master kit you are looking at is the addition of the ECT3000, which looks like a great add, but can be purchased separately to save a little money. Keep in mind these tools are not a substitute for understanding how a circuit works, but rather a good way to diagnose issues and test circuits.
