After 10+Yrs, while I was driving, the car’s electrical system stopped working, luckily I was close to home. Based on the fact that the whole system was offline, first thing I thought of was the electrical cutoff switch malfunctioned and verified that it was working. Then looked to see if my 100amp and 60 amp circuit breakers were tripped, they were not. My friend gave a little tap to the FFR supplied fuse panel and power was restored. Next day, I tried to start the car and again no power. Pulled the IP, inspected all wiring and recycled both circuit breakers. While the IP was resting on the trans cover I powered the system and it was working. After reinstalling the dash, again no power. Any suggestions would help, other than leave the IP on the trans cover. Thanks.

Instrument Panel?

My assumption was Instrument Panel, too. The fact that things work after tapping or moving parts of the electrical system scream loose/weak connection to me.

We as a society are over using acronyms.
So with that said: BTDT, HAGD & MD!

I would remove, inspect, and repair all connections on the back side if the fuse panel. I might have gotten one built on Friday but I found several poorly crimped connections on the back of mine. When you say the whole electrical system is off, all items including lights? I also inspected the kit supplied WeatherPak connections and found the same thing on the crimped connections as well so another thing to inspect while you have it apart.

The problem was the ignition switch when bad.
