So my roadster currently has standard 99-04 brakes with Hawk+ pads. Still manual brakes as I am running Webers so no vacuum.

I purchased a 33 gen 1 FFR kit with a mostly complete car but it will be more show than go compared to my roadster which I want to do AutoCross and HPDE with. The 33 has these massive 14" Baer 6 piston brakes front and rear with 18 and 20 inch wheels.

I am running the 18" F5 25th Anniversary wheels on the roadster so plenty of room for these big brakes. Currently have the Mustang pedals and a Wilwood dual MC.

Thinking about swapping the brakes on the cars....Is this a BAD idea?

Sounds like a good plan to me. Put the performance where you'll use it as long as other compromises aren't necessary or at least minimized.

So what are you then doing for the rear? The roadster is rear heavy, you should have BALANCED braking for the best performance.

Thanks Rich, yes I have the same 14" 6 piston discs with parking brake on the rear of the 33 which is a 8.8" just like my roadster. I would move all brakes from the 33 to the roadster.

If I were to ever upgrade it would be Baer 6p, personally I think they are much better quality than Wilwood. Those brakes are huge for a 2300 lb car.

Yes they are solid for sure my only concern is it may be TOO much brake for the street. I plan to swap the fronts first and try it out. The rears are a little more involved as you need to pull the axles for the mounting bracket.
