My front LCA Lock Nuts are POL, which is preventing me from doing too much more in the front of the car. Not complaining - plenty of work can be done, but I would like to finalize the assembly before getting too far ahead of myself.

Anyone know what a comparable replacement would be from McMaster or other? If I buy flanged lock nuts off the shelf, I want to ensure they have the correct prevailing torque, given that these will hold the front of the car together as part of a moving assembly...

I have a few irons in the fire (reno kitchen, open wife's shop) so I'm holding out a bit hoping FFR fulfills the POL with nuts, but I dont want to wait months for these.

On a positive note, I just received my CV axles (which came with axle nuts, which answered a question i had earlier), so I have everything I need to install the IRS. So as I said, not hurting for stuff to do!

I use Nylock nuts.

The bolts are in double shear, between two upright tabs. The nuts provide no clamping force, and their only function is to keep the bolts from falling out. 50 ft/lbs or 150 ft/lbs, the function is the same. They only need to be tight enough to not fall out. As said above, a quality nylock nut and washer will probably be more secure.
