I'm 6'5", with a 36"/38" pants inseam. Will I fit comfortably or even fit at all in the '33 Coupe? I prefer a manual, but I can live with an automatic? Any help would be most appreciated!

Thanks!
Jason

Hi Jason,

I'm 6'3" and long in the leg like you. I fit fine in the 33HR I tried. I suspect it will be necessary to do some seat cushion work to support your upper leg for better comfort on longer drives though.

Also give some thought to the tilt steering column option to help make getting in and out a bit easier.

Thanks Earl! Tilt wheel is a definite in any vehicle for me :) I can find/mod a seat as well. Is there enough room to get my size 13W foot on a clutch in the footbox?

I have two friends that are 6’3, 270-300 and they fit but they have big feet! I’m a 12 and wanted to maximize footroom so I made an aluminum transmission cover, an internal hydraulic clutch and wear chucks and it’s perfect.. it can be done but spend some time looking at seats too - probably kirkeys for you

(And removable wheel is pretty easy, I don’t need it but wanted it anyway)

This is a cut/paste of the reply I gave to another guy who asked the same question -
"I have gen 1 33 and I am 6'4" , about 190. It is going to be tight. My 350z daily feels absolutely spacious compared to the hot rod. Tilt column is a must and and will most likely want different seats. I went with sheet metal bomber seats not only for the looks but to gain every fraction of an inch of extra space. With some properly placed pads they are actually fairly comfortable (think sitting in an Adirondack) but it is not a comfortable car for long road trips without stopping fairly often to stretch (and get gas). If you have big feet, like me, it will make a huge difference to go with an auto trans also. 3 pedals and the tiny foot box fills up pretty fast. Mine has a TKO and I have to drive bare foot - which is not really an issue for me because I pretty much always drive bare foot anyways.
Visibility is really limited also and will take a little while to get comfortable driving in traffic.
But, it is a blast to drive and I still love it. If your heart is not set on the hot rod, it would probably be a good idea to opt for the truck with the stretched cab.
Good luck with whatever route you go."

I was about to ask this same question, I'm 6' and 270lbs with a 42 waist. Is the FFR '33 a little wider than an original coupe?

yes, it's wider than a stock 33. I'm almost same size (6', 255) and fit perfectly (but snugly, which is what you want!) in the leather seats.

Thank you, that's what I needed to hear
