I purchased the breeze locking gas cap. After disassembling the stock cap took a lathe and removed the barb flush and milled out the interior of the stock cap so the locking gas cap sits flush with the bottom and looks great. I’m having clearance issues with the 90 degree flexible tubing. Cut it down as far as I could and removed as much of the aluminum side panel as practical. Looks like my remaining option is to remove about three barbs off the end of the locking cap, this may give me just enough clearance. Any other options folks have used for this issue?

I struggled with that too. Don't think the locking cap (which I also used) makes any difference. The barb sticking out of that is about the same length as the unmodified cap. I too cut the 90 degree flex tube quite a bit more than the manual showed and also "adjusted" the side panel opening. Got it the best I could. The final result works, but the 90 degree bend is so close to the opening that fueling takes a little extra care, e.g. without fuel nozzle too far in and less than full pressure. No big deal. Maybe there's enough left if you take some barbs off the end of the cap. But not sure how much difference that would make.
